GUINNESS DOWNLOADS ARE GOOD FOR YOU

All you need to do with these photos is right click/save image as, and save as a .jpg. (Something changed in windows where they now default to a .webp.) You can try to print out at home, but I find it better and cheaper to just send to Walmart photo, CVS or whomever is near (Walmart is my go-to). All are sized properly and cleaned up. Btw, if you are in Europe and you found this site, just reach out to me if you need in another size. I’ll see what I can do.

5x5 Prints

(Suggestion on square frames – while I prefer not to use plastic frames, Michael’s (a chain craft store) has 5″×5″ borderless frames with glass that work fairly well to display these.)

4x6 Prints

(The Tony & Friends CD advertisement above I picked up at Joseph McHugh’s Pub in Liscannor, Co. Clare. Tony was there. Fun guy, wild flute player just like the ad says.)

Recommendation on framing for the larger ones below – go to a junk store, goodwill, yard sale, or some crap antique store and pick up as many vintage ones as you can find. I like the thin black wood frames that are nicked up a bit. These vintage frames are typical really cheap, like $3 or something.

In my humble opinion, framed properly, anything in the collection below looks far better than tin tacker signs and those mass-produced wooden Guinness signs. Invest also in a small micro miter box so you can cut the frames down if you need to. You’ll need a glass cutter too. Cutting glass takes a little practice, but it’s relatively easy to do. (Alternatively, Lowe’s or your local hardware store can cut glass for cheap$.)

5x7 Prints

8x10 Prints

The first two images, cut out, frame to size. Guinness on Draft also need to frame to size. (I do myself, just need a micro miter box/saw (from craft store) and a glass cutter.)

Dancing at the Crossroads

I’ve always been fascinated by these images. They are hard to find and you probably won’t find a more complete collection anywhere on the web. Irishcentral.com had an article on the last pic, the famous c1912 Horgan Brothers image. You’ll find a link to the article below.

Images are various sizes, look at file name to see how I sized (which sometimes was driven by resolution.)

You may have to play around with the last three, resolution wasn’t great.

Here’s the Article of these last three pics:

Large Prints

There’s really nowhere else on the web to find the first two. For the Bayeux tapestry Guinness ad, I photographed a tea towel I bought online, then ran it through photoshop to get the image sized, colored, and textured the right way. Print this at Walmart using the poster size that matches the size on the file name. They are about $11-18 each to print but come out really nice. These Would make a nice gift to your friend with a pub. The green one is a standard size 16×20 you can get frames for anywhere. Some you’ll need to print to the size I provide in file name, then cut it to the image size, and then buy (or make) a frame that fits.

Here’s how a few came out:

Smaller Prints

What I did with the the tea label is I wrapped an appropriately size piece of 2×4 in brown paper wrapping. I glued this label on top and it looks like a vintage tea block.

8 1/2 x 11 Perfect Pint Certificate

Be careful with this one, playing with fire if not properly trained.

I will cross-post below just in case you did not see it under “Ideas.” Guinness has free downloads for handouts and posters. Kind of cool. See: Guinness Celebrate
